We promised an announcement this weekend so thank you all for waiting patiently!

In the spirit of the holidays Spider-Man [personal profile] websnextdoor has for absolutely no personal reason ever (why would you ask) decided to align himself with the FEAST organization back in his world to fund raise on behalf of the charity with the intention of providing warm clothes, hot meals, and holiday gifts to the homeless and people still suffering the after effects of The Snap back in his universe.

To that end we will be hosting an event in the Nexus that will begin in mid-December to give folks time to tag in/flexibility around very real IRL holidays with a simple premise: this event will be as large or small as the community desires.

At a basic level (what the mod team will be hosting) is something of a small bake/craft sale where Spider-Man will be selling appropriately thematic cookies and holiday treats to raise money for the charity. He will also trade these items for basic necessities FEAST accepts as donations for those who do not deal in currency. There may also be one or two other mod-backed characters with their own stalls participating.

If people are interested and want to join in, this can evolve into an entire winter fair with people hosting their own game stands/stalls for selling any number of things with the end goal of funds raised going toward charity. This is in no way mandatory. All we ask is that people who want to participate in this way be sure they will be able to contribute to event tags and clear your idea with the mod team to make sure it fits with the event theme. If we get many volunteers, the event will warp from a few tables to a zoned off block party sized event where we would make sure to describe more to see and do to accommodate this size.

Given the barter and trade aspect of this event, it is likely that a gift exchange thread could also be worked into this if people wish.

Please feel free to use the comments below to discuss interest/ideas for the event but make sure to DM a mod in DW or Discord if you're looking to officially host a table/game/stand of some kind at the event!

Plot well, friends :)

Did you know it's the first day of November? I sure didn't until about halfway through today! But that's fine by me because it means I can continue to share with you all some of my very favorite fall images and a few hand picked prompts to keep you lovely folks inspired through another month.

We hope you enjoy them!

And As Always--

Disclaimer: I never close old writing prompts from previous months. People can and should be encouraged to post on old month's prompts and I highly encourage players to track these posts to catch stragglers or new people writing on old prompts.

Now. With that out of the way, onto this month's prompts.

November's Writing Prompts

1. "As the nights grow cold, unfamiliar sounds carry through the mists."

2. "I wonder if they would be proud of me."

3. Your character read the directions wrong, if they read them at all. Now something's not Quite Right.

4. "...And STAY there!"

5. "Maybe we should just stay here until this blows over."

As a special treat, we are organizing a round or two of Hunger Games simulator to be done in the community Discord server this upcoming Sunday, October 31. Time slot is tentatively 4pm EDT (8pm UTC), but this is not set in stone, so if a different time would work better for you, please speak up!

If you wish to participate, please leave a comment on this post to sign up one primary character and one secondary character per player. Primary Tributes have a guaranteed slot in the roster, except in the unlikely event we exceed 24 players entering; remaining slots will be filled by random selection among the pool of secondary Tributes. As always, participation is 100% voluntary only! No one will be signed up without their enthusiastic consent.

If there is a specific icon you'd like us to use for your character, this is also the place to designate that. Icons must be FULL COLOR ONLY, as icons are automatically changed to black and white when a Tribute falls.

No player participation is required beyond these steps. Everything else is taken care of by the randomly generated simulation. This is a non-canon event and will have zero impact on the actual Nexus game, so there's no need to worry about how this will affect any plots going forward.

Signups will be closed at the end of the day on Friday, October 29.

Please enjoy a bit of inspiration from all of us mods to help those creative juices for your muses.

Would folks prefer say some group journals or perhaps a thread(s) a some point set either before or  after the whole coyote thing? Feels like we need something before Spoofy season and Fall hits the Nexus in full force yes? (though Aal's hoping there can be some Hayrides or something this year :3 *gives hopeful puppy dog eyes* )

Apologies to those who have been waiting for event tags! For those not in the know, I've been dealing with some RL issues including a large power outage and some big life changes, but I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. Expect some backtags, and I hope to get things moving shortly.

Part 2 of the Coyote event is now live! Obviously, certain someones have a grudge they need to settle, and others may want to be a part of it. If you're interested in participating in the hunt, please comment here and let me know! The structure of the hunt will depend on who is involved and what skills they're bringing to the table, so if you have specific ideas for how your character could help, here's the place to bring them up! :)

Like wonder whom is like legit neighbors to who in the Nexus and what sort of likely interactions/Running into situations that could cause.

For example Aal and Dor are currently in one of the flats/apartments one of the Steve's pointed out to Aal years ago. But are looking/likely o build/fix up a bigger spot with some woodlands if at all possible considering  they're fams/packs expanding and a few other reasons.

Also makes me wonder what sort of dream places/homes or even jobs etc others might want some day.

July is here! Strange things are afoot in the Nexus of late, and it seems Coyote has caused quite a ruckus among the populace. It's been a joy to see your creativity in how your characters' desires have backfired on them, and the development they've had in the aftermath. What other opportunities might there be? Stay tuned! And As always--

So I know folks are probably busy understandably. So just wanted to  put some feelers out /maybe start a discussion or brain storming session or something when folks have the time. Cause just been like wondering, what sort of say get togethers and/or maybe some easy going sorts of things perhaps folks might be interested in for summer/(or whenever). Especially given a certain someone's going to be having some pups/ a birthday coming up. :) And just in general is missing like picnic/  bonding fun activities (community wise or otherwise) :)
