Coyote Hunt sign ups

Part 2 of the Coyote event is now live! Obviously, certain someones have a grudge they need to settle, and others may want to be a part of it. If you're interested in participating in the hunt, please comment here and let me know! The structure of the hunt will depend on who is involved and what skills they're bringing to the table, so if you have specific ideas for how your character could help, here's the place to bring them up! :)

Harley's at least someone who can stand being around Josh if a fight goes down and he gets all....monstery.

I'd have to check with B if it's alright to assume Cricket called him back after the fiasco before to fuss at him for not checking in, else he'd still be hiding in the woods like a feral green bean.

His biggest skill is tracking and murder but failing that, he's got so many curses and gifts intermingled on him from various Powers That Be he may just be harder than most to fuck with further 8D

I may not play all of these pups, but here are the ones I'll pick from:

Zack - who just wants to kill Coyote, and he's not so useful in his human (Sam Winchester) body, so maybe he needs to be told to take a backseat on this one. Or - you know - get duct taped to a chair. (Calling in Dean mun for this, because it's too funny.) ablacksun In fact yeah, just tie him up. I can play the others more easily that way and he won't see his brother coming.

Phoenix - a stroppy-arsed angel who can teleport, if that might help to gain an advantage over Coyote. Phoenix is pissed because the damage has spread over into the Keldran side of their portal. So he's really happy to help. Can he please bring his flaming baseball bat? ashes_ascended

Vahl - this would need careful handling because of MIND POWAHZ. I nerf my gods in the Nexus, it plays havoc with their abilities, but Vahl is a god of the mind. He may be able to compel Coyote into at least making a mistake that helps the hunting party capture him. He's pissed for the same reasons as his husband, Phoenix. twofold_psyche

If anyone interacts with Phoenix or Vahl, they might get both of them as long as that's okay.

Abdiron who is a god with powers of decay and contagion. Again, the Nexus makes his abilities that bit unpredictable, but he'd want to ingratiate himself into Nexus society. He could probably crumble the ground from under Coyote's feet, if that helps the hunting party get him. And also wouldn't it be fun for him to work with Dean someone from the Nexus AND NEITHER OF THEM KNOW WHO THE OTHER IS. sweetcontagion

Ahahahaha, normally yes he would be doing the talking zack out of this thing. but he's definitely not going into this 100% mentally as is, let alone with how hard he wants to hunt this bastard down as is.

skekSa's certainly on board with helping to hunt Coyote down, and is rather miffed at him for causing trouble with Furiosa and Blaze, who she is fond of.

Skills: She's an expert tracker on land and over water, is an expert with swordplay, and has her Sifan crew to help out.

Tay is willing to help catch him. But not hurt him too bad.

She has limited fighting skill, ranged weapons and a lot of surfer rage ATM but again she won't hurt him too bad.

HELL YES, IT'S COYOTE SEASON BITCHES!! Dean is all in on this. You don't screw with his friends and get away with it.

Skills: Dean is Reckless As all hell resourceful as a hunter and well-versed and in multiple types of firearms but is also proficient with most other weapons. He is also adept with brawling and knife fighting. He frequently creates and uses improvised weapons and explosive devices; has demonstrated knowledge of chemistry, constructing Molotov cocktails and improvised explosives. Dean also possesses extensive knowledge of the supernatural and mythology, while capable of researching finds it boring, but once he has learned something is often able to recall from memory even if the hunt was years ago. He has been shown to be able to break out of illusionary mind controls by picking up on small details that are out of place, but is completely susceptible to regular mind control and alterations. Just in case it comes up, Dean is also skillful in lock picking, escaping capture, breaking into security systems, carjacking and hustling. Dean has an in-depth knowledge of torture after studying for 10 years under Hell's head torturer. Dean is also an accomplished mechanic and maintained an intimate knowledge of automobiles and engines since childhood and has a knowledge of electronics and reverse engineering, having built an electromagnetic field detector from an old Walkman radio as just one example. The fun stuff that should be noted, a.k.a: The Mark. It does affect his fighting skill. It makes him stronger (shown to physically overpower several non-human adversaries even before his true snap and succumb) and more precise while fighting, but also more brutal and less likely to stop before killing the target. Especially if he has pre-existing beef with them. The mark helps keep it's bearers alive, and is canonically shown to protect from magic that directly attacks and damages the body, although he is still entirely susceptible to physical alterations (I.e. being de-aged) and is still entirely open to mental magics and manipulations. It also means that if he dies while bearing the mark, he'll be a demon which I have no plans for yet, just felt it was worth mentioning jic.

I am so sorry this so long but I wasn't sure exactly what to put in or not, especially as not everyone is familiar with canon or dropped out before his cp, and figured more detail is more helpful while still trying to keep to a brief overview ^_^;;

Sans is out for this one, though. He's not a fighter unless he really has to be, and that's before him being affected by the event.

It's probably likely that Dean's lore knowledge might be of more use than his fighting skills, but good to know regardless! He should definitely consult with Bigby.

Gwaihir isn't much for fighting but this kind of turmoil would attract his attention. He could serve as an eye in the sky or an aid in tracking. He's also seen a lot in his long years and certainly has a lot of lore as well as a wizard at his call (aiwendilofbirds).

Fighting may or may not be a component of this, so support characters are more than welcome! Gwaihir might not have a prominent role but we can hash out a way to have him be involved.

I mean usually, my pair would be Game but as they're excepting. I feel like they'd be more inclined at the moment to help with say, watching Home Base/Advisory/Healer sorts of support, etc.

Supportive role is okay! A fight isn't necessarily what's needed, and Bigby and the Guardians will appreciate having the help in looking after the affected. It's also good to have someone posted at home base in case Coyote comes back while they're out. ;)

None of mine who have been affected are in any condition to participate in active hunting, but Cricket is available for ground support, if needed!

Loki is interested in this a a professional matter, as another Trickster, but his feelings on it are fairly ambivalent. He'll probably act more or less as he did in the raid in the Winter Storm, and just follow along to try to keep his favorites from getting injured again. But if the opportunity to chat with Coyote were to arise, he'd be curious.

Speaking of his favorites getting injured again… Loki is more than welcome to spot Harley being back in the fray of things. He would have gotten a message from Pam regarding how injured Harley was the day before.

Kind of interested in letting Minoru join, but he's, at best, a marginal support character.

He's fast and can parkour through obstacles, but he's not good with fighting. Nor does he want to. If you guys need medical help, though - definitely willing to offer the upbeat* orderly and some of the various NPC coworkers at the hospital!

*Assuming the effects Coyote caused are still in full swing, he's really worried about Isamu right now. So he might not be as upbeat as usual.

Support character is good! This is a day later, so it's up to you if Isamu's still affected or not. I imagine if he's not, he's probably going to want to take one hell of a nap, I know I would.

I'm down for playing it by ear, things are going to be somewhat malleable and organic.

If you would like to have something medically related for Minoru do to, I could have Cricket around. The wish he made has more or less paralyzed him from the hips down, which will probably be temporary, but having someone versed in PT to consult would be helpful, even if we just handwave it.

Skills: MMA, physical strength/condition at peak and though not super-powered she's stronger than someone in the same condition would be in our world, ability to crush skulls with her thighs, ability to read maps/create them, leadership skills (founding member of an anti-bioterrorism NGO and spec ops agent; she essentially fights monsters, some of which are larger than houses), can snipe from a moving vehicle with weapons meant for close range only, first aid and chemical experience, steady hand and hawk eyes, etc.

A lot of things, just ask for specifics.

For now I'm mostly playing it by ear; I might have some questions later as things develop organically. We'll see where this goes! Should be fun.

Blaze is naturally all for joining in tracking down Coyote and shaking him until he dispels his shenanigans (or at least stops making more)! That said, being a heavy trooper with not a subtle circuit in her body, she's not well-suited to catching out a trickster. ;) Particularly since Ghost has been humanized (and her space magic nerfed) she'll mostly be a very mobile sledgehammer with the armor to bounce if she takes a pratfall or two. On the other hand, she's generally good for co-ordinating in teams, heavy lifting/giving other people a hang getting up or down from heights, and disorientation/shock tactics. Still has her flashbang grenades and zappy punches if those might come in handy.

Ghost might be more directly helpful since he's been working on getting something like his normal abilities up and running, and could volunteer to co-ordinate comms/tracking intel among the hunters, quite possibly with help from any other Ghosts (or similarly intel-oriented characters!) involved.

Blaze comes with airbound medical support in Nike, who besides being armed with weapons of the Exo's world is much more importantly mobile and able to heal.

Ghost will have a constant bodyguard in Steve. He and Siri have been tasked with protecting Blaze's transformed partner and have been taking the job very seriously. This does mean however Steve will not be on the frontlines of any conflict unless Ghost somehow finds himself in the center of it.
