January is here! The last year has just flown by, and there's been so much good plot and players in recent days. A very hearty welcome to our new and returning players; we look forward to a bright new year ahead of all of us! And As always--

Disclaimer: I never close old writing prompts from previous months. People can and should be encouraged to post on old month's prompts and I highly encourage players to track these posts to catch stragglers or new people writing on old prompts.

Now. With that out of the way, onto this month's prompts.

January's Writing Prompts

1. "Well, the weather forecast was VERY wrong."

2. Is your character a planner or an improvisor? Put them in the opposite role of whichever they tend to. How do they fare?

3. There comes a point when you've had enough socializing. How does your character make their escape?

4. What is your character's favorite comfort food?

5. "I'm not ready to go back. Why don't we stay out a little longer?"

Plot Roundup is here!

What is that, like two of you in the back are asking? Well, we have a Healthy community of Spy Readers here and not all plot goes on in the Comm itself. This is a post for you to gather and summarize ongoing plots (either personal or group) that have been going on across multiple threads on and off the main Nexus Crossings' community! For a quick FAQ see below!

Why do we do this? For spy-reading, of course! It helps everyone in the comm stay abreast of each other's plots, especially as the size of our comm grows. It's also a good way to make sure your hard work is admired by others.

What is relevant: Any prose, private storyline/plot pieces, monthly prompts, or solo pieces which took place on personal journals or which were reposted onto personal journals from chat apps, etc. Only include posts made in the comm if they advance a private storyline. The pieces must be considered canon for characters as they are played in the Nexus (ie: No links to memes which were just for fun, etc.). Links to other DW comms should not be submitted, except on a case-by-case basis. For preference threads should be considered completed as of December 31st 2019 to qualify for this month's roundup and should have completed no earlier than November 1st, except in cases where the last roundup submission deadline was missed.

Format: USE THE PASTEBIN FORMAT! The format comes with an explanation and all of the HTML pre-written. Please follow it closely for uniformity and ease of others' reading. Anything written in ((double parentheses)) is to be deleted and serves only as a guide for you as you fill it out.
