Afternoon all.
Brin here.
I have permission to run a Halloween Mystery mini-event for the Nexus, centered around Hunter
losthunter and Karlene the witch (this NPC journal), that will be posted on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. This is your first chance to sign-up for the Mini Event.
The post will be active for several weeks to allow everyone time to interact in it.
Those involved in the mini-event will have an opportunity to solve the mystery of the Seven Sisters. The details about why it is so important to solve the mystery will be revealed with Hunter's post on Halloween. Basically, there will be seven puzzle pieces to be found, with each puzzle piece located in a different area of the Nexus.
Updated Puzzle Area list:
Area One: The Lovely Black Eyes. Tatsuya. Open Spot.
Area Two: The Grief of the Sisters. Marie and Indo.
Area Three: The Mistress of Animals. Palmer and Harrow.
Area Four: Seduction of the Sea. Zandros and Natasha.
Area Five: The Dark One. Cricket and Caspar.
Area Six: She of the Stars. Jim and Adia.
Area Seven: Her Face Hides in Shame. Robin and Ashlynn.
Please note: this is a limited sign-up event. Only two characters MAX per puzzle area. Thus, if you have multiple muses -- please limit signing up only one or two. I will assign characters to their teams for each puzzle area, once I know who is interested.
Some questions that might be asked:
Do I have to know Hunter to participate?: No. The set-up will be written so that anyone can participate, even if they have never met Hunter before.
If you want to read Hunter's prose to gain OOC background knowledge, check out the handy-dandy plot round-up thread. All the prose connected to this mini-event were titled When The Magic Stops.
Will my character potentially be hurt in this event? No. This is a mystery event. It is about using the mind and solving puzzles. There will be no puzzles that will physically injure a character. Also, these puzzles are not designed to traumatically affect your character mentally.
Hmmmm... I don't think my character would be interested, but I really want to be part of a Nexus event: Do not worry, my fellow RPers. The amazing Mods have their own tricks up their sleeve. There will be another event for people to participate in.
Post here with any other questions!
