August 2018 Writing Prompts

Welcome to August, folks! Summer is chugging right along and to celebrate this month (but lets be real I celebrate Every month this way) I've got us a nice new list of prompts.

As always--

Disclaimer: I never close old writing prompts from previous months. People can and should be encouraged to post on old month's prompts and I highly encourage players to track these posts to catch stragglers or new people writing on old prompts.

Now. With that out of the way, onto this month's prompts.

August Writing Prompts

1. A day at the beach

2. Getting beaten to the punch

3. "You're never going to believe this, but--" (Everyone loves a good ol' fishing story full of hyperbole. Or maybe this outlandish story actually happened and just Sounds unbelievable. Up to you!)

4. How lazy is your character? What drains them of energy and motivation? Write about the things that make your character want to do literally nothing at all whether its because of the heat, a deadline, or any other reason of your choice.

5. Meeting your heroes
