Announcement to clear up a recent misunderstanding
In recent threads, there has been discussion revolving around speculation of a native Nexus population and issues of colonialism. The mod team would like to clarify to the community that no such population exists or has existed in the Nexus at any time. While the exact history and nature of the Nexus remains purposefully vague, the resident population is made primarily of refugees, lost persons, and their descendants. Every entity in the Nexus has an equal right to be there, whether as a visitor or establishing a home.
We do encourage our players to enrich the setting by adding their own details and flavor to their threads, and more long-term establishments like restaurants and businesses may be shared on the Setting page here. However, introducing concepts that reflect on the Nexus as a whole, particularly those that echo real-life injustices, need to be agreed upon by the mod team first as this has implications on the entire community. If it would be helpful to have more specific guidelines on what is acceptable to introduce without mod oversight, please let us know!
