Dreams and Wishes
Hello, everyone! I’m C, your current Sariss player (and more characters to come, because you’ve all been lovely) and I’ve got a curiosity I’d like to put to all of you.
I think we’ve all got ideas for roleplay we’d like to do that, so far, haven’t come to pass. Maybe it was just a wish for castmates, or a specific sort of plot you haven’t gotten to do, or some grand design you’ve never been able to enact. Or that super idea that you’ve never quite been able to make come together, or there’s just a piece missing you can’t figure out.
So let’s share all of those! Post about your character(s) and your goals for them, and the dreams and wishes you’d have for them! Everyone else can comment, join in, and talk about how great your ideas are if nothing else. Maybe someone else in the comm can help you workshop an idea or give a character you both know a try – if we’re extremely lucky, we’ll make at least a couple of those wishes come true!
I’ll start it off. I’ll preface this by saying that I’m 100% certain this will never come to pass, but I always loved this idea. (And if I wrote fic, I’d have figured out how to do it already!) Back in my University days, I minored in Classics. I love the rare occasions I’ve gotten to translate classic myths from any culture into RP as a result.
So I always wanted to create an analogy of the Furies from Greek mythology with two other Force-user characters from the Star Wars universe. The Furies were sisters; punishers of mortals for their sins, each with specific areas of authority. Sariss would be one. (standing in for Megaera, punisher of oath-breakers, infidelity, and theft) The next would be Juhani, from the first Knights of the Old Republic game. (standing in for Alecto, punisher of moral crimes) Last would be Asajj Ventress from the Clone Wars series (as Tisiphone, punisher of murderers).
(The specific comparisons are there for any fellow mythology nuts out there!)
I just like the idea of these Force Furies functioning either as a sort of secret group or just uniting as friends/allies out of common interest and background. That the other two are fantastic characters I’d love to rp with is a huge bonus.
So what’s your dream or wish? Basically, let's talk characters!

skekSa - My dream plot for her is for skekSa to lead an expedition out into the Wilds to find the Nexus's sea. Then she'd probably divide her time between exploring the Nexus's oceans and running her tavern on the mainland, but bringing her ship into the setting would lead to all kinds of fun possibilities.
Indoraptor - The Indoraptor has hatchlings, somehow, and isn't the only member of his species anymore. Alternately, he meets other dinosaur characters and hangs out with them. All of the dinosaurs.
Palmer - The Thing is the reason he can't return to his world, so a plot off in his world where he deals with it could be very fun. Great opportunity for a small-scale, suspenseful adventure and an opportunity for CR as characters deal with the existential threat of infection.
Ben - Well, obviously I'd love to do more things with him and other SW castmates. Sparring for sure, and opportunities for angst and drama are welcome. I love it when he encounters Legends/EU characters, personally, and my dream is for him to run into a Jacen and/or Jaina.
(And that Force Furies idea is really cool, by the way. I love it.)

So if she does mount it, she's got some muscle who is invested in how that turns out.
As for Ben, one can never have too many Star Wars characters. And maybe I'm biased, (he said, biased-ly) but the old EU characters tend to have a lot more writing to back them up, so the characterization is naturally strong. I remember there was a Jaina active, in the old days. She was very well done. Here's hoping that, like me, she makes a comeback.
Wasn't there some sort of comm, once upon a time, where you asked about muses you hoped to work with?

I have a Vergere somewhere gathering dust, and one of my goals is to review the old EU, so I might come out of it with more SW characters to play. I probably will, since I have fond memories of it. I do have some EU characters I'd be curious about playing once I have a better grip on their characterizations.
I've heard of that sub. Musemostwanted, I think?

All pre-RoS, obviously, but yeah. Schemes get into your head when you play characters like her.

I would adore a God to play with Lucifer prior to the fall and then through the events of the fall. I would adore to see someone's interpretation of how God felt in the fall and to play that off of Lucifer's energy. (On the other side I want to play Lucifer after he defeats God and realizes he has to step into the throne... however, I am angling that already in his current storyline so that is on the horizon.. but not for awhile still.)
And an Eve. In Paradise Lost Lucifer falls in love with Eve. That would be fun to play. I have taken it so far that Cain is rebellious because he is Lucifer's son instead if Adam's.
I would also adore a Meredith for my Solomon Kane. In his Canon she goes to the Americas and he supposedly never sees her again. I would love to have him go find her because she (and her mother) are probably the only people he truly cares for. I would love to see how it would change his character to have her in his life.

What's the point of writing if you can't strive for something a little higher? Couple literary devices here, some references there...
That's some interesting headcanon you've got going on, especially with Eve. (My wife got me into the Lucifer show, so the whole 'exploring the Devil' side of writing has suddenly gotten a lot more interesting to me in general.) Here's a question: do you fit the character of Lilith in there anywhere?

I'm not looking for anything in specific, but I'm always happy to throw Rey at any SW characters. I'm currently slowly playing the first KOTOR so it'll be neat to see any of those characters around.
Drag me into your plots; I'll probably be thrilled. :D

Frankly, I think the second game had the best-written main villain in all of Star Wars. But they're both kind of chock-full of magnificent characters from top to bottom.
Where do you play Rey from? I'm assuming end of Rise, but I could be wrong. Sariss would be HORRIFIED by most of what Rey can tell/teach her...so, honestly, let's do this. :P

I'd be happy to chuck any new Star Wars muses at Rey, and I'm totally game for future plots involving Ben or any other characters.

Also kinda find it intriguing the Furies are like the inverse of the Fates in away. Or maybe pro or reactive' is a better way to describe them. That whole justice/vengeance can be blind motif.

And I always advocate letting the ideas out to play anyways, if only to give them an airing. Sometimes you get lucky, too. Or it sparks off another idea in someone else. It always surprises me, given how collaborative RP is, how little people just throw thoughts around and workshop it. (At least in my experience - your mileage may vary.)
Lastly going to assume I've got a fellow mythology fan on the line. I think reactive is the word there...the Fates know what's going to happen, the Furies carry it out. I would so be up for an interpretation of Greek myth that played with a connection between the two.

For Penelope, I just want Odysseus to come to the Nexus. You do not know how badly I want this. Oh my goodness. They're like a mythological power couple. You do not understand. Ugh.
For the Iron Giant, I'd like him to be able to help more people, because that's what he wants to do! He adores humans and just wants them to be at their best. ;_;
(Also I appreciated the Furies reference, A++)

I just want to run into Penelope now, didn't know there was one here. That's honestly kind of thrilling. I love when figures from mythology turn up...especially the fun ones with all the weird events to live through.
And now I just want to watch Iron Giant again. Or bring in my Godzilla so they can throw down. :P

I do have an eventual plot idea in mind for Jim but it will require me getting way back on track with RP and writing in general to do it. There's stuff in the works slowly for most of my characters, but apologies I've been so slow.
Jim needs to get into some trouble one of these days. Either regarding Magic or preferably dealing with Gods. I'm kind of hanging back from doing anything that would be Serious at the moment though because I am so very not able to commit to a whole lot at the moment.

I cannot express how much I need the Iron Giant someday having to rescue Spider-Man/Peter Parker in my life.

For Atreus (
His greatest wish is to one day be able to transform INTO WOLF. And considering he is technically his world's Loki that'll probably happen in a future game. Speaking of Loki and, gods in general, that's also another topic that would be interesting? Norse legends in the God of War universe are VASTLY different then what we know of them. Exploring differences would be neat.
For Misfire (
Another is blending in better with the organic folk! He has lots of misconceptions about humans as most of his information probably comes from trash TV. Also he doesn't know how fashion works and picks things out that are shiny or pink for his holographic avatar disguise. Thus most of his holoav's outfits tend to look like he's rolled around in the pink aisle of a thrift store.
I also have one character I haven't played in NC yet but I'm planning on bringing him in at some point. From the Force Unleashed Star Wars game I have Galen Marek/Starkiller (

I've never actually gotten to play with a Marek, so that will be interesting. Him and Sariss can form the "Not Vaders" club. :P

skekSa and Loki have some good CR going, and I'd love to do some sparring between him and my more combative muses. They've learned a lot from each other so far. XD

For Blaze and her Ghost (
I’d like to do more with Blaze coming to terms with her past at some point. She’s graduated to grudging acceptance of having once been human but it would be good to play around with actually exploring that side of herself a little. Actually, what would really be fun to do is explore some of the different personas she’s had as she’s wiped and rebooted over and over again, although that would take some really specific plot circumstances to arrange. Conversely, having more cross-canon interactions with other cybernetic/construct folks would lead to some interesting stuff, since Exos’ origin and psychology are pretty different to most fictional AIs/robots.
Felix (
For all of them, though, I’d really like more mixed to negative CR. People taking advantage of Blaze’s overconfidence and gullibility, or Felix’s tendency to gamble. People calling them out on some of the crap they do or asking a few pointed questions. Fundamental clashes of character! Spiky acquaintances that might become kinda-friendships! Delicious conflict for everyone! >:3
no subject
Ben and Blaze would also be a neat interaction, seeing as he's a villain who's trying to reform and is fascinated by them to some extent, even if he'd be a bit prickly towards Blaze and I can see their personalities clashing some.
As far as gambling muses, I have several, so that may be interesting if they run into Felix at some point. skekSa is the most manipulative of them and I could certainly see her knowingly exploiting Blaze and Felix's flaws, even if not in a way that would do serious harm to them or others - she has business interests to protect and doesn't want to burn bridges with potential customers and allies.

Oh gosh, I do love that sort of thing - the 'confront your past selves' sort of thing. Do it around something with a supernatural/spooky setting and you can even have some fun atmosphere with it. (Given Sariss has some ideas about being able to use the Force to tap into the Nexus directly, pretty sure I could one day conjure up some cause to create that effect. :P Or echoes, I suppose?)
And I've got Sariss' training thread up if you want Blaze to find out in a very negative way what a Dark Jedi can do in a sparring match. Worse still if Sariss can use even the non-aggressive force powers...her neutral ones I'm pretty sure won't trigger the anti-violence field and can still be used...creatively.
I'm sure she'd also be awful to gamble against, too. :P And she needs cash, so. I've also got Baron Munchausen who just kinda arranges reality to his satisfaction in that regard.
