Describe character's sense of morals: Hermione's sense of morality comes from a logical position, rather than an emotional one. Hermione always tries to see the situation from all angles, before making a rash decision. At the same time, she has a strong sense of justice, and will become upset if they see someone being hurt or harmed when they do not deserve it. She does not believe in hurting others and is very protective towards the weak or towards people that she cares about.

If they could sum up the meaning of life, what would they say?: Take time to learn and to educate yourself. Knowledge can help you to be stronger and wiser.

What do they consider taboo (something they personally would never do): Hermione would never use magic to control another person. She believes magic is a personal reflection of the witch/wizard who is using it.

Describe character's etiquette: Hermione always aims to be polite and well-mannered. She keeps an open mind about new situations, and when there are cultural norms to be followed will do her best to meet those expectations.

Describe character's sense of self-control: Hermione is very organized and detail-oriented. She usually has a plan for every action, before even taking that action. However, she is able to think quickly, and create plans, in chaotic situations.

Spontaneous or structured? Structured.

Instinctual or logical? Logical.

How does this character act in public? Hermione prefers to present herself as a well-rounded and educated woman. She aims to make a good first impression. And always tries to keep an open mind about meeting new people, and does not judge on first appearances.

How does this character act in privacy? Hermione savors her private time. She enjoys curling up by the fire, drinking tea, and enjoying a good book. She uses most of her private time to educate herself further in different studies, both magical and Muggle. Recently she has been learning about computers.

How does this character act around strangers vs. how they act around friends? Hermione is open-minded about most new people she meets. She treats them with respect, until they do something to lose that respect. She is more open and honest around her friends, who have already earned her respect.

How does this character act around family? Unfortunately, during the Second Wizarding War, Hermione had to use magic to erase the memories of her parents. Thus, her parents do not remember her. And she gets a little mournful when someone asks about her parents, since there is nothing she can do to remove the spell.

How has this character most changed from youth? Hermione was a precocious child. She entered the first year of Hogwarts already knowing several spells and charms, despite her Muggle background. As a child, she always wanted to impress her teachers, and was viewed as a 'Know-It-All' at times, because she often spoke up even when her opinion was not asked for. Hermione was a brilliant student, keeping ahead of the rest of her classmates. And when given a Time Turner, used it to take more classes, and study even more. After the Second Wizarding War, Hermione found respect for herself, and no longer required seeking praise from others around her.

How have they remained the same? Hermione still appreciates learning and continues to seek knowledge. She is still that book worm at heart.

Has this character dealt with the loss of someone they knew? Yes. She lived through a War. She lost many friends. She lost her parents (after changing their memories). She lost teachers. She lost a part of herself.

How has it affected them? The loss is one of the reasons Hermione needs to have a plan for different situations. She wants to try to have some sense of control...

How does this character deal with or react to-
Conflict/Danger: She faces it. Bravely. And tries to think of a way to resolve it.
Rejection: In the public, she puts on a brave face. In private, she often tries to think through the reasons of the rejection. Try to find a way to make things better.
Fear: Hermione will always face her fears. Where dwell the brave at heart, Their daring, nerve, and chivalry Set Gryffindors apart
Change: She adapts to change quickly.
Loss: Mourns for those who are lost. Remembers them. Honors them.
Sex/Flirting: Hermione has always been attracted to older men. Simply because it is intelligence that attracts her. She is a shy flirter. And yes, has studied several books on different types of sexual positions.
Pain: Hermione would fight through any pain. Find a way to heal herself quickly.
Stress: She is too organized to be stressed. Thank you very much.
Peer pressure: Ron and Harry tried to peer pressure her. They failed. Hermione is too head-strong to let others peer pressure her.
Guilt: Everything she had to do... was done for a reason. She calculated the risks ahead of time. So doesn't let the weight of guilt affect her.
Being wrong: Hermione loves a good debate. Try to tell her that she was wrong.
Being criticized: There are few criticisms that would ire her. But when they do anger her, she gets very defensive.
Being insulted (superficially: name calling, etc): Hermione has an insult carved into her arm for all eternity. She lives with it every day. So if that doesn't affect her, neither are any other insults or words.
Offending others: It has happened. Hermione comes off as a Know-It-All.
Praise: She is always happy to receive praise. And to have her abilities acknowledged. And most importantly to have her magic/work recognized and respected.
Being loved: She loves her friends very dearly. It is very special to her.
Being hated: She has been hated before by some very powerful wizards. It doesn't bother her, and she just tries to not spent time with that person.
Humiliation: After being teased and taunted by the Weasley twins, Hermione does not get humiliated very often. Anymore. But she used to embarrass quite quickly as a child, especially being humiliated by Ron Weasley.

How does this character express-
Anger: Just ask Draco... she can give a good sucker punch. Don't piss her off.
Sadness: Most often, she gets withdrawn, until she can express herself in private.
Fear: As a proper Gryffindor, Hermione does not show fear.
Happiness/Excitement: She has a very bright smile when happy or excited.
Love (Consider the "Five Languages of Love"): Hermione will show her love through gifts of affection, or physical touch.
Lust: Best saved for the bedroom. For the person who is the reason for the lust.
Stress/anxiety: With a good plan, one does not get stressed or anxious.
Dislike (of a person, thing, or idea): She will avoid the person.
Approval (of a person, thing, or idea): She will help the person, in any way that she can. And protect the person in times of trouble.
How does this character generally express themselves? Hermione usually takes time to think about what she wants to say, and how she wants to say it.

What does this character think/feel about-
Marriage: She honestly doesn't think about getting married. She is not in that headspace right now. And has other things on her mind.
Children: She honestly doesn't think about having children.
Family/Family Values: It is a lot different in the Wizarding world, than the Muggle world. And she has seen how Pureblood wizards act differently, than Half-Blood or Muggle-born wizards. Each family has their own ways of doing things.
Children/Youth: Hermione would be glad to teach younger students, because learning is important.
Old age: Wizards/Witches age differently than Muggles. She doesn't think about how old she might get. It is better to concentrate on the present.
Sex: She has read several books on sex. The details are best left in private for what sexual partners might enjoy in their bedrooms.
Love: She knows the value of friendship, and love for someone in a platonic way. And while she has crushed on others before, she has yet to 'fall in love'.
Friendship/Other relationships: Hermione truly values her friendships. She considers her friends to be the most important people in her life.
Homosexuality: What other people prefer is totally their rights as individuals.
The opposite sex: Boys her age have always provide to be immature. There have been a few older, mature men that she found interesting. She respects men when they are in a role of leadership.
The same sex: Hermione is a feminist. She objects to being viewed as "too strong, too aggressive, isolating, anti-men, and unattractive" simply because she is a powerful woman. The most important thing to her is that both men and women are given a choice to be heard, to be respected, and to be appreciated.
Money/Material things: Hermione has not need for money/material things.
Politics: The Ministry of Magic is a mess right now. There is a lot that needs to be corrected.
Religion: It can lead to war. Case in point the Second Wizarding War.
Destiny/Duty: She is respectful of destiny. She was there with Harry during his whole destiny trials. And knows how heavy destiny/duty can be to carry.
Magic/Myth: She is a witch. She uses magic. It exists. It can be very powerful when used properly.
Racism/Races in general: Hermione is very respectful of other races. She has been the target of racism... since she was called a Mudblood by other wizards. She knows how it feels to be viewed with disrespect, so would never disrespect others.
Science/Technology: A lot of technology doesn't work properly around magic users, but that doesn't stop Hermione from learning about new scientific discoveries and technologies. She really appreciates knowing those of a scientific mind.
Nature/Animals: Her best friend in the world is Crookshanks. A half-Kneazle. So of course, Hermione respects nature and animals.
Modernity: The wizarding world is a little behind of the modern world of the Muggles. Hermione would like to help balance the two worlds.
Antiquity: As mentioned, the wizarding world is still antiquated. She has no problems with working/studying in these situations.
Their past: Hermione put her past behind her, the day she had to change the memories of her parents to protect them. It was a difficult moment. But she has learned that tough decisions must be made every day.
Their future: Hermione is really hopeful that she can balance the Muggle and Wizarding world, so that all wizards will be respected, no matter their backgrounds.
Their role in society/job/etc: Hermione is still treated with respect as one of the 'Golden Trio'. She always looks for ways to prove herself, and let her work be recognized, without it just being accepted because of her role during the Wizarding War. She understands that helping to save the world changed a lot of people's opinion of her. But that also allowed her to discover who her true friends were. She does not appreciate those who try to 'kiss up' because of her Ministry title.
Drugs and alcohol: She does not drink often, since she can get drunk easily. She does not use drugs. But she doesn't judge others on their habits.
Killing/Murder: Hermione lived through a Wizarding War. She had to use defensive spells to protect her own life. She has killed. There was no other choice.
Education: very very important. Hermione went back for her last year at Hogwarts, after the war, so she could properly finish her wizarding education. She still seeks knowledge wherever she goes.
The foreign/unknown: She would try to figure out a plan on how to deal with an unknown situation. A plan for everything.
How does the character view life? Life is important. It should be respected.
How does the character view death? It is a part of life. But there are some wizards who are still able to share their knowledge, after their death.
How does the character view society? depends on which society... Hermione loves the Muggle world and the different cultures depending on what part of the world she is visiting. The Wizarding society needs to be updated a little. The biased views of the Pureblooded families are out-of-date.
How does the character imagine his/her own death? Hermione came close to dying once already. She envisions Bellatrix, torturing her.
What does the character want out of life? Hermione wants to learn and educate herself. She wants to help her world improve for the better. And she would enjoy creating a new spell, or a new potion.
What does this character consider "success" to be? Being recognized at the Ministry for her work. And not just for being one of the 'Golden Trio'.
What would the character like to change in his/her life? Right now, Hermione is quite satisfied with her life. She would not change anything.
What motivates this character? Hermione is motivated by learning. She just wants to absorb and appreciate as much knowledge as possible.
What discourages this character? When others disrespect her, without taking the time to consider that she might have a different perspective or opinion.
What makes this character happy? Learning. Knowledge. Friendship.
What makes this character sad? Destruction of knowledge.
What makes this character angry? Injustice.
What humiliates this character? Very little.
What most describes this character's personality? Hermione is a book-worm. She loves to learn. She loves to read. She loves finding knowledge.
Psychoanalysis (Describe why they act the way they do): Hermione Granger is rational, conscientious, and parental in every decision she makes.
Does it stem from childhood or an event, or chemical? She just has always been this way. It stems a little from her childhood, trying to control her magic in a Muggle world.
