The March Triple Extra Special Plot Roundup: A Farewell to Winter
It’s been a busy few months for the Nexus, and the year’s only just gotten rolling! Both the mods and event runners want to thank all the players who took part in the Winter Event that began in January. Along the way we've seen some fantastic CR, some action-packed encounters and a few grim fates. It’s been a great ride, folks! But as Winter finally lets go of the Nexus, it’s time to recap all that’s happened and enjoy our favorite moments of the last few weeks. In short, it’s Plot Roundup Time!
This month we have a lot to include, and as such we’re taking a different approach to previous roundup posts. Below wait two threads! One holds a summary of the Winter Plot from foreshadowing to finish. Post all your Winter-related plot arcs as replies to this comment. The second thread is for all plots since the beginning of the year which are not part of the Winter Event. We want to make sure they get some love too!
Submit via a comment using the Pastebin format linked below! For convenience and clarity, include a header with your character’s name!
Why do we do this? For spy-reading, of course! It helps everyone in the comm stay abreast of each other's plots, especially as the size of our comm grows. It's also a good way to make sure your hard work is admired by others.
What is relevant: Any prose, private storyline/plot pieces, monthly prompts, or solo pieces which took place on personal journals or which were reposted onto personal journals from chat apps, etc. Only include posts made in the comm if they advance a private storyline. The pieces must be considered canon for characters as they are played in the Nexus (ie: No links to memes which were just for fun, etc.). Links to other DW comms should not be submitted, except on a case-by-case basis. For preference threads should be considered completed as of March 31st 2019 to qualify for this month's roundup and should have completed no earlier than January 1st, except in cases where the last roundup submission deadline was missed.
Format: USE THE PASTEBIN FORMAT! The format comes with an explanation and all of the HTML pre-written. Please follow it closely for uniformity and ease of others' reading. Anything written in ((double parentheses)) is to be deleted and serves only as a guide for you as you fill it out. If you want to see what the format should look like, check out December's Plot Roundup.
Submit by commenting to the relevant thread below and double-check your html once posted! Where possible use a separate thread for each character!
Note also: Each thread should be submitted only once, so talk with your RP partner(s) about who is submitting which links and under which Character Thread. There is an exception if you're posting a thread from within the three big event Posts (Start of the Storm/Into a Rising Wind/Silence of the Storm). Although the top posts are linked directly for convenience in the summary, you may still include links to particular threads your characters were involved in, just avoid duplication of links to specific threads.

Winter Event Summary and Roundup!
The Winter this year began with good cheer, but in between the festivities Reynard was reminded of old promises, while certain people received messages, and some received warnings.
Then the Season turned.
The Start of the Storm began just after the New Year. The denizens of the Nexus found an endless freezing storm raging just beyond the bounds of their homes. Though the worst of the storm’s fury was held at bay by the torches Hazel had planted around the Nexus, slowly the ring of torches began to march inward toward the Plaza. Those who didn’t escape before their PINpoints failed or their portals froxe found themselves trapped in an ever-shrinking safe zone. And then came the stories of monsters in the storm…
In A Ship in the Outskirts, Dia’ndria Starfall found herself forced to abandon ship and make her way to the Plaza. While she faced threats on the route, unbeknownst to her Harley Quinn, Furiosa and Palmer were setting out on an expedition to the same ship she’d just left. When they got there, they found themselves face to face with the Nexus’s newest monsters…
By the second month, in Into a Rising Wind, supplies had grown dangerously low. Isidor Durant and the other volunteers were forced to begin preparing a last-ditch expedition out of the safe zone to recover enough food for everyone. In Scouting the Expedition, Josh Washington and Delia Battista ventured into danger following a tip, and uncovered a food dump large enough to be worth the risk- the only catch would be the enemy guards. In A Fistful of Torches,, Blaze-37 (and Ghost!) found allies in Azwel, Furiosa, Natalie and Natasha Romanov, and together they went out to retrieve valuable equipment and weapons… only to learn more than Blaze liked about the nature of the monsters stalking them. Meanwhile, Harley Quinn, Zandros and Tamminy teamed up for a Scrapyard Sweep to bring back vehicle parts, only for things to get… complicated.
Their missions paved the way for the larger expedition, and the people of the Nexus banded together to prepare. While Isidor and the others were still gearing up, however, Natasha had a couple of fateful conversations in Night Watches…
Finally The Raid got underway! Many brave characters went out into the snow, and many stayed behind to guard their home base. Though the Fallen had moved the food store they were able to catch up and start home with it, only to find themselves engaged in battle. While the others fought their way free, Furiosa, Kinner and Natalie made a daring dash for home with the convoy. Blaze and Natasha went to intercept the Fallen commander before it could cut the vehicles off, only for Natasha to find herself forced to choose a sacrifice to Winter’s wrath… and Josh met a hard fate at the Fallen leader’s hand.
While the expedition was gone, those holding their ground at the Plaza gathered together to share good cheer, kindness and protection in The Silence of the Storm. At long last, the battered and hardened survivors of the expedition made it back to A Warm Welcome with all the food they needed to make it to Spring. Meanwhile, Loki followed the enemy home for a talk in All That are Fallen…
Below: post your Winter-related character arcs and roundups as comments to this thread, using the format above!

With regard to Reynard's involvement specifically, that's definitely fair game: quite a few characters have been openly pinning the blame on him and it's safe to assume plenty of NPCs remember his previous attempt to trap the Nexus in permanent winter. Whether your characters choose to buy into that explanation/rumor, of course, is up to you. I hope that's helpful!
