Coming soon to a Nexus near you: Winter Party post 2018
Yule is right around the corner, and this year, Thor is here to bring it to the Nexus!
On December 16, I'll be putting a winter party post up in the Nexus proper. This event is open to everyone, and there is no secret plot to throw a wrench in the works, just eating good food and mingling with friends and strangers. Yule doesn't technically start until the solstice on December 21, but due to IRL obligations many of us probably have, the post will be going up earlier to allow for more time for festive fun. Norse Yule lasts for weeks, so there's no deadline to wrap things up as long as you're still having a good time. Tag in, threadhop around, catch up with old friends or meet new folks!
If your characters are planning to exchange gifts with friends, this post will absolutely be a space where you can do that if you want. That said, since the late Odin was the origin of the Santa Claus myth, this year Thor will be filling that role and will also be handing out additional tokens of appreciation to Nexus-goers who contribute to the party, such as bringing a bottle of ale or a dish to share, kind of like a potluck. His gifts are going to be something fairly simple, something he could get his hands on via the Nexus, but I'd like to make them more personal if possible, so please feel free to share some of your character(s)'s interests in the comments here to give me an idea what they might like to get. Or, if you'd like to nominate a particular gift for a friend's character, you can PM me onpirateangelbaby. If you don't have any ideas or don't care what your character gets, there will be one-size-fits-all goodie bags for every party-goer, so no one goes away empty-handed.

hmmh oh yes lots of things, like crafts, She does draw and such. soft things. Hot cocoa, stuff to do with Knights, horses, and heroes. Disney things. Sherlock Holmes. King Arthur, Adventure, Romance, History, the Classics, Mysteries. etc. XD

Expect the Tatsuyas to try their hands at baking, thought. I'm having them make pets de soeurs because I'm Acadian and I can't help myself.The Tatsuyas are both music fans and both plays the electric guitar, but they do have an interest in other types of guitars as well. They also wouldn't mind having practical gifts for their house in the Nexus, either.
Satoru and Éclipse would find anything for their Pokémon useful.
Robin and Michi both love books.

He does a lot of fishing, so fishing equipment would work, and he also loves stories so books of folklore or mythology would be welcome. He's also fundamentally practical so if you just give the kid some new socks he's thrilled. You really can't go wrong with Cricket.
