Autumn is Upon us Soon!

Hey all this is Hazel's mun.

As some of you may or may not know, Hazel Tasker is a seasonal spirit who operates under the season of Autumn. Because of this in a few short weeks at the Equinox Hazel will be in her Season and a bit different than you're used to interacting with her. As we do with Winter I have compiled a list of gifts and curses available to players

throughout the season. Autumn dates for 2018 are Sept 22 (expect a post then!) through December 21. I also have one or two small posts planned that will be more geared toward the community as a whole but please peruse that and comment here if you'd like to do one or more of these with any of your characters. Additionally if you think of an Autumny-curse or gift you don't see on the list please comment on the post linked and I'll look at adding or adapting it in some way.

Note: While these curses and gifts are on an opt-in basis please be advised that upsetting Hazel in Autumn will get you cursed. It might not be severe or long lasting and I encourage people to do as their characters would, but keep in mind OOC that if Jerky McJerkface is a Jerk to Hazel in Autumn he/she is getting cursed in some way.

They might change if they announce the series casting before since Alec technically already has his wife. If they don't them he'll be this guy.

Hermione observes and respects many of the old Autumn rituals. And I would like to sign her up for a blessing -- and Best Laid Plans or Two Sides to Every Story would be very appropriate.

Is there a specific event in mind you'd want it for? Those blessings seem more situationally appropriate than season lasting. Like a specific thing Hermione would want Autumn's wisdom for.

Hermione does have to take a test to finalize her bid as Minister of Magic. If Autumn's wisdom blesses her during this test, she will be twice as efficient.

Keep me in the loop of when this is happening. We don't have to do it at the post right away when Hazel first turns Spirit for the season. If hermione makes a post later in autumn i can have hazel show up then to bestow it.

so perhaps hazel bestows it at the equinox, because she can sense the witch will need it?

How long were you thinking? There will be a post at the Equinox so it can start as soon as then but anytime during the season is also possible!

There will be a post at the Equinox so Thor can have his just desserts as soon as then but if there's a specific time frame in mind you should let me know!

Hmm, I definitely want it to still be in effect around Halloween so he can make Bad Decisions(TM) involving candy consumption. ;) So maybe mid-October-ish?

Possibly a stupid question, but does leaving when cursed with Death of the Nomad actually cause death? If so, what kind of death? (Got a Hamlet-influenced character here, pretty sure the conviction of death isn't necessarily going to put him off. Which is interesting as a character note, but not sure I'd want him dead. Although I guess he'd only be dead for Autumn, which ... could be interesting? Could he wander around as a ghost?)

(Also, could it be a metaphorical death?)

Anyway, I figure Geoffrey probably deserves a curse. Judgement of the Past is another option, but it's basically business as usual for Geoffrey, so. Blustery Bumbling proooobably drops Geoffrey into Lear mode rather than Hamlet, also an option.

Sorry for missing this! For some reason Hazel's inbox didn't reroute to my personal one like my other muses do. It is fixed now.

Hazel doesn't kill as a general rule no matter how harsh her punishments can get. She's not even killing Swamp Thing this go around and they're all out enemies by this point. If someone under the Death of the Nomad curse were forced to leave their Nexus-made shelter they would be terrified and have an intense urge to get back to it at all costs but they themselves would be psychologically incapable of leaving on their own.

I'd rather avoid that curse, then. I personally just don't enjoy stuff that has a fixed mental/emotional effect absolutely no matter the character or how they're put together psychologically, and this one sounds a bit too fixed for me.

No worries there's plenty to choose from of varying severity and you don't have to choose any at all if you'd rather not.

So, I tagged in with Furiosa here, because I couldn't not. I don't want to pigeonhole Hazel's response to her, but if it feels right based on IC interaction, Harvest Boon for the Citadel would be pretty amazing and open up opportunities for her to pay it forward by feeding other people.
