oh. hay.
Hi, everyone! It's Louisa here (for Iphigenia and a few others~), and I am trying very hard to get back into RP. Boo, work.
So! I have a kind of getting-to-know-you game we can play. Maybe it will be...fun? Hopefully? /cringes at self
I'm curious about everyone's pups' and their respective canons, and I'm hoping others are as well! So, in this post, feel free to link to video clips/blogs/general flailing about the worlds from which your characters come from. Go wild! Wax poetic! Just be excited about media!
Also, if anyone wants to use this post as a sort of ~enabling~ thing, go right ahead. We probably all need more characters to play, right?

At best, from Han's POV, the things going on in that time are going to maybe be distant legends and more likely, he just wont know them at all.
I don't really want to bore anybody with details of the books for people who just don't care. Ultimately, my goal is to have a character that people have fun tagging with more than anything. Of course, I'm always happy to share for people who do like to know.
I just happen to think his story is interesting and in a lot of ways, especially as he is portrayed in the books, Han is the character we can see a lot of ourselves in.
In his heart, he's just a guy from Corellia who got swept up into things much bigger than himself - in that respect he makes an interesting metaphor for where the audience could be in the SW universe. Because chances are we wouldn't be the people with the enormous destinies or amazing force powers. We would be trying to problem solve and do the little things we could do to make the world a better place.

I saw Corellia in ToR's eyes, a millennium or two before Han was even around. But it's still cool to see all the background that exists out there for him.
And I super love how you play him!

I love that between Josh and Kirk, when we're bouncing tags because I get to play to very different sides of Han based on which one he's interacting with.

That said, it's awesome to see Han around, and hopefully we'll have more chances for him and Dia to interact, since she's a fun little outlier all on her own.

Anyway, the books were where the deepest storytelling was going on when I was at the peek of my fanhood? If that makes sense. So when I think of Star Wars, the movies are just a part of so much more to me. There's always the opportunity for you get into the EU if you want, though? Or not. I think it's a good time to be a fan of Star Wars again, regardless of which part of it that resonates most with you.
We will definitely exchange tags soon. It's going to take a little of him getting used to her though, with all the force she can wield and the fact that she's got 'the accent'. I expect funtimes anyway. Can't see why it wouldn't be.
