Songs like THIS and THIS that can easily be played on 1-3 string instruments (violin, guitar, banjo) with vocals. Playing string instruments and singing was a great way to pass the time in the evenings after farm work was done. Lawrence was the violinist, Harrow or his father played the guitar, and his mother or younger brothers played the banjo while his sister Robin sang (and others joined in.)
Outside of Westfall he would have heard songs we might associate with traditional folk ballads (like THIS) or classic Azerothian instrumental music (like THIS.)

I don't think he has the cultural wherewithal to know he ought to be embarrassed about certain types of music. It's all new and fun to him, and he's not above singing or referencing songs he knows if he thinks it's going to help him connect with the person he's talking to. He's willing to listen to pretty much anything once, and if he likes it he'll say as much.

Nerdcore... Y'all're really out here makin' songs bout playin' video games? Like as a lifestyle?...
Do they associate any specific songs or genres with themselves? –
Hmmm! I'm not sure about specific genres, but I bet he thinks about himself when he hears most Johnny Cash songs. They're all about pointless destruction of your own/other people's lives and the consequences or redemption following.

Okay... If you think he's not out there listening to lame-ass country/country-rock love songs and thinking about Isidor... Idunno what to tell you.
Stuff like... Chris Young – Heartbeat (Country-rock)
Songs for the good times? –
All Men Are Pigs – Studio Killers (And all Studio Killers, tbh. Euro dance pop)
Simple Things – Randy Travis for Hey Arnold! (TWANGY country, mixed to be longer than the original.)
You Reposted in the Wrong Neighborhood (Mashup/Remix)
Songs for the BAD times? –
I Am Weary, Let Me Rest (American folk song)
Compass – Red Dead Redemption OST (Western?)

Dude probably has SO MUCH music on his phone, but here's a general sampling of most of it:
My Party – Icona Pop (Eurobeat)
Fuck You Better – Neon Hitch (NSFW – Party beat)
Kids (2 Finger an den Kopf) – Marteria (German rap)
Gasolina – Daddy Yankee (Spanish rap, and some of the lyrics are very Isidor.mp3)
Was Hast Du Gedacht – GZUZ (German gangbanger rap)
Blitzen Trapper - Valley Of Death (Country-ish, courtesy of Mico/Naug's player)
Cruise – Florida Georgia Line (Country rock, radio bullshit)
