Okay so I've heard through the grapevine that folks are itching for some ACTION in this here community!

I'm going to set up a shady illegal fighting ring in the industrial district and have a huge event where folks can sign up/get kidnapped/get tricked into joining. Basically, folks fight each other until one loses and other folks bet on them.

WHY am I putting a post here instead of in the Comm? WHY PLOT, of course!

Do you have someone you want to fight personally? Would your character be betting on the fight? Get drug in against their will? Are they the ones DOING the kidnapping? OR are you a fearless bystander trying to break this up and rescue your friends/justice!

Comment below and hash out what you'd like to do! I will be in and out this weekend, but I will take all comments into consideration before the event goes up Participation is OF COURSE optional. No one's character will be drug in against the PLAYERS will. Theirs? Sure.

EDIT: Hey guys, I've got some IRL stuff that is basically going to throw me out for a loop. This is gonna have to get pushed back a bit, but that just means MORE TIME TO PLAN AMIRITE ETA will come as soon as I get stuff sorted out, and besides, Reynard's player has an AWESOME SAUCE EVENT coming up anyway!

Jim's gonna be in this, either as a fighter who got captured and thrown in against his will OR as someone breaking into the event to rescue others.

Let me know if someone wants to fight one of my other muses! I have Katsuya and Nekomata up for those who need a magical/special powers person to fight. Natasha for super soldiers and etc and Josh and Jim for average people brawling.

If we have no other takers, maybe it's about time these two got the catharsis of smacking each other around a bit. It would at least be entertaining.

Awww yea. Nexus Fight Club. Totally gonna throw this guy into the ring.

He's got the physical strength of a pile of spaghetti, but can throw snark and take a punch (or grievous head wound or two) like a champ. Off the top of my head, he'd make a great opponent for overpowered characters that may not be able to fight at their full strength without overwhelming a lot of the people they'd come up against. (Or players just interested in a fight with bitching and lots of wacky frustration for all.)

Steve isn't gonna be fighting in this, but you better believe he'll be trying to organize folks to free those who get captured to fight against their will.

Felix will definitely be on the sidelines for this one, placing bets with his hard-earned wages.

Blaze's attitude will depend entirely on whether she cops to the shady aspect of the event. Shady by her standards, anyway. She'll start busting through walls if she finds out anyone's there unwillingly. People just choosing to risk life and limb for the fun and profit? Entirely understandable and possibly decent entertainment. Basically she can be talked/suckered into any role, she'll just flat-out refuse to fight anyone she doesn't believe can take a hit from her.

Depending on whether Miller's still a geezer, I'd put him up for a fight. Or bookie.

Also: he obviously doesn't have any powers to speak of outside of CQC (basically hand-to-hand-judo-type stuff) and being really cocky.

Van's attitude is going to depend on whether he cops to how shady this thing is. People gathering to punch each other unconscious someplace they don't technically have permission to gather... not really his scene, but no big deal.

If he finds out people are there against their will, though... yeah, he's gonna be joining Blaze and Jim and whoever else in breaking in to rescue the kidnapped.

... Actually, if necessary, he might *let* himself get kidnapped so they can get someone inside to get the lay of the place, or something.

I would love to get in on this on Amelia. I'd prefer if she get drug in against her will somehow and she's up for fighting against anyone. Assuming its hand-to-hand, she'll do pretty well, but her best offense is her ability to dodge. Try and catch the rogue if you can! ;)

Also more than happy to throw Hughes into the ring if someone wants to fight him! Like Vanyel, though, he's likely going to be one of those people who wants to get in and check things out from the ground up to get the dirt on what's going on.

Kind of sounds like we've got quite a few takers on the 'try to break it up' front, so I'll probably toss Jim in as a fighter against his will. AS well as Katsuya. Does anyone else have any interest in the shadier end of things? Helping organize? Kidnap/trick/or recruit?
