That someone is actually not me, so everyone thank Katie who plays Han for telling me to stop being a slacker fiendbeast. I've got a long list of great movies ready for us to watch, but since this is short notice I'm not going to pick anything too great. In fact, we're watching...

TWILIGHT

Nothing is better to riff on as a group than a romance, and why not one as, ahem, icon as this? Truly an Earth masterpiece to rival The Notebook. 

Date/Time: Friday, June 24th at 9:30 pm Eastern (6:30 Pacific, 7:30 Mountain, 8:30 Eastern)

After this, I'm thinking of a two-week-in-a-row double feature of Terminator and Terminator 2, July 15th and the 22nd barring any unforeseen circumstances. We've never done a movie AND its sequels before, but they're both solid flicks that have been recommended multiple times, and there's sort of the twist of T2 playing off of T1's antagonist. 

If you've got conflicts with any of these dates, or know you chronically won't be able to make Fridays, let me know in the comments! It's nice to know who can and can't come so that I can schedule accordingly in the future.

This is actually a great choice in movie and I'm already pumped. Guess who totally saw this mess in theatre on opening day because her roomie was a diehard fan of the book series? This guy.

whhaaaaAAAAAT? oh my god HE IS. He's in the 2nd one! Del says the third one is tremendously terrible. Now I want us to watch all 3 of these Twilight movies. I'll have to intersperse them throughout the rest of the year haha

Normally we don't do too many of the same movie series, just so we can get in as much varied content as possible. A double Terminator 1/2 feature will be our first doing multiple films from the same IP. But thanks for the suggestion, and we'll see what happens in the future!

Schedule came out today and I'm scheduled to get off at 8 that night, so barring a hella rush, I should be able to make movie night on time, no problem! /is excite!

I'm just glad work permitted it! I've actually seen this one (and it may be one of my faves of the 'so bad it's hilarious' variety), but I wouldn't want to miss the commentary!
