April Writing Prompts 2021

Holy crap, when did it get to be April?
I uh. Hm. Well, this is awkward. Hang on, I didn't forget today was Writing Prompt day I swear. I've definitely got a few of these things around here somewhere. Just give me a second, yeah? We'll get this up don't you worry a bit. Just don't look at me, I can't make prompts when you're looking at me.
And As always--
Disclaimer: I never close old writing prompts from previous months. People can and should be encouraged to post on old month's prompts and I highly encourage players to track these posts to catch stragglers or new people writing on old prompts.
Now. With that out of the way, onto this month's prompts.
1. "You can't change the future. That's against the law."
2. "You know, I know we're on fire and all probably about to die and in excruciating pain but man am I horny right now watching you like this."
3. She was a strong, smart, ass-kicking Independent Woman, except when she forgot to be or it was inconvenient.
4. "The planet was uninhabited entirely. Don't mind all the natives and the secret evil base and the bar just over there and the..."
5. "Aha, but you see you were unaware of my never-before-mentioned 16th secret power!" I said as I pulled an ornate 7th century scimitar I've never used onscreen before that I'm nevertheless a master at while I made ready to save the world single handedly. Never bring a knife to a gunfight they said, well. I don't play by the rules, ha!
Bonus image prompt:

I would like to make an apology
The earliest known scimitars were created in the 9th century and not the 7th but since this is a work of fiction narrated in first person by the protagonist I'm not Really wrong because They just happened to not be knowledgeable about the subject material.
Glad we got that cleared up.
Enjoy!
