Winter holiday: The Dawning
Hello again Nexus-goers, it's that time of year once again! In previous years we have had winter holiday events from all sorts of universes, from Hogwarts to Norse Yule to Lucifer himself. This year, our official Nexus winter holiday event is going to be a bit more low-key, a smaller moment of reflection and friendship as a Light against the Dark, as the Guardians bring the Dawning to the Nexus.
On December 17th, there will be a booth set up in the Nexus thoroughfare to bake and hand out cookies to all passersby, and offer an opportunity to light a floating lantern if you so desire. The spirit of giving and warmth is the core of the Dawning, and if friends wish to meet up here to exchange gifts, they are welcome to do so.
This is intended to be a small scale event this year, a small center of calm and peace as we usher out the year that was 2020.

Making his long overdue Return....
This will be Steve's debut in the Nexus as a Guardian. He has not been here since the events of Endgame.
Note: As a Guardian, Steve does not have memories of his life before he died. This will be a bittersweet reunion for some old friends of his. I am down for both new meetings and more somber reunions for this. DM me if you have questions on what Steve's revival as a Guardian entails if you're a bit lost on what's been going on on his journal for the last year or so!

Be advised, the Guardians doing most of the handing-out-of-cookies are D1 era, so they are quite far pre-Forsaken and don't know Uldren kills Cayde eventually. I haven't decided whether Aegis would recognize Crow as Uldren or not (politics, who pays attention to those, shrug), but I definitely want to get your input on how you want to let your boy interact with fellow Guardians. :3 He deserves some friends, imo.

And no worries about the recognition thing. In lore bits he wears a helmet when off Tangled Shore so I can always just have him be shy and and have it on if you haven't decided yet :)

Guardians: Happy Dawning Hunter! *cookies*
Crow, awkwardly accepting cookies he has to wait until no one's looking to stuff into his face.....
How does Shaxx do it with his helmet on...?

I'm only half serious but
now Steve can bond with Loki over dying a lot. I'd love to get a thread of sorts going looking at Loki as "Thor's Brother" before everything else. There's no longer baggage there on Steve's end, and if them talking is going to give Blaze a small synthetic heart attack then bring on the plot >:3no subject
