'Tis the Season for Truce (Winter Holiday Party Event)
It’s the Holiday season and a time of peace. The holidays are for parties, caroling, snow, mistletoe, and Heaven and Hell declaring an end to war… wait, what?
The IC post should appear sometime Saturday 12/14/2019 in the afternoon or early evening Eastern Standard Time.

Due to some bizarre desire of the Nexus (and no small amount of OOC discussions) the home of Lucifer Morningstar, the devil, has become neighbors with the rebuilt Sanctuary of St Frances Xavier Cabrini church. No one knows how these buildings moved overnight and war should have ensued with heaven and hell on each other’s doorsteps. In an act of rebellion against the norms, Peninnah (sacredeyes) and Lucifer (the_rebel_son) have decided to collect some friends and throw a party to celebrate the benefits of the peace, truce, and tranquility of the Nexus… AND the devil invites EVERYONE. Letters, word of mouth, posters, and every other method has been pulled to ensure everyone in the Nexus has been invited to an extravaganza of holiday cheer and partying. So, what kind of holiday cheer can guests expect?
The whole crew throwing the party have been hard at work hanging garland, lights, and festive decorations all over the place. Expect there to be an abundance holiday foods, treats, and drinks to be found in the villa and church. Mistletoe will be everywhere. Among the decorations, hidden away, no one who wants one, will leave the party without a kiss, or 20. Sin (amartolosa) and Dorian Gray (mayfairmonster) may appear among the guest gifting partygoers with mistletoe crowns, or find Sin and ask for one. Lucifer will also be on hand playing the role of the Holly King, gifting partygoers with advice, small trinkets, and drinks, lots of drinks.

Join Peninnah and the angels in the Church to sing carols with an angelic choir. Have a favorite carol, or come from a culture with other songs of the season? The angels will still sing with you, or feel free to start your own singing. Top Post for the Choir Though feel free to sing anywhere in the thread.
Wreath making, birdseed bells, candycane reindeer, paper ornaments and all the holiday crafts you can desire will be laid out among tables for some social creativity.
In Lucifer’s Villa (Visuals for the Vila Here Consider all spaces listed as public or main living spaces open to the party)
Holiday movies by the fire: Balthazar has collected all the holiday classics on DVD. Sit in the salon and watch some of your holiday favorites by the fireplace. There’s a bottomless hot chocolate bar on hand.
The Villa Gardens will be open for peaceful strolls and decked out for the season, complete with an enormous christmas tree.
Desserts and Dancing in the Council Room: Lucifer’s council room has been transformed into a socializing area complete with open bar, desserts, and dance floor.
Out in the yards and street between the two buildings.
Wishing Tree: The old oak tree that stands in the church’s front yard is ready for wishing. A wishing tree is a place to write a wish with your name on a paper ornament and hang it for others to answer, or pick up a wish and make someone’s holiday more cheerful. Leave your wish there for others to pick up. Any character can answer any unanswered wish. Thread for the Wishing Tree with instructions
Snow fort/snowball fights: Earlier in the day Mulciber, the court architect, and the nearby children of the Nexus built a huge snow fort and stocked it full of hidden caches of snowballs. Build more, start a snowball fight, play hide and seek? The options are endless in this maze like snow fort.
Sleigh rides: Solomon Kane (markofkane), and his stable boys, will be offering traditional sleigh rides in horse drawn sleighs to party goers. PLEASE assume an NPC stable boy is leading the ride, unless your character wants Kane specifically. If you want Solomon Kane to lead your sleigh ride please comment on his top post in the IC post.
This will be a party style thread; mingle, threadhop, have fun, stretch, narrative conventions as far as you and your thread partner are comfortable with. If you have questions, feel free to PM me or respond to this post.

I am now imagining Balthazar looking for him, realizing he's not at the villa, realizing he is at the church and going "OH SHI--!!"
...then rushing over and finding him and Penn arranging poinsettias in the Sanctuary or whatever and just standing there looking as confused as he has ever been in his life.
