The Nexus' Pokémon Team Presentation and Build-Up!

Hey, it's about time we have one of these!

So, what this post is, is exactly the title- a place where we list the possible/current Pokémon team for each of our muses here in the Nexus! Not sure what Pokémon would fit your muse? Here's a category of lists from Bulbapedia, from Generation, Types, Moves and more! Got any suggestions for another muse? Tag their post!

Now, let's go wild and choose our Pokémon!

Red, canonly being of the Pokémon Series, has this current set-up:
Pikachu, Charizard, Espeon, Gyarados, Rhydon, and training a Porygon-Z, has his Snorlax at home.

Here's Tatsuya's team, as well as my interpretation of Katsuya's team. Because this is from his Pokémon AU, it also features information not related to the AU I portray in the Nexus comms.

Palmer's team would consist of Sableye (Hopkinsville Goblins), Houndoom (Black Dog), Flygon (Mothman), Lapras (Loch Ness Monster), Ditto, and Magnezone (UFOs). It's mostly a cryptid-based team.

I can do you one better. I have trainer cards made for pretty much all of my muses.

Two Yamasks (named after his dead sisters), Sneasel, Phantump, Haunter, and Cubone. This is the saddest goddamn team ever.

Also boy only made it to Morty's gym and the experience fucked him up so bad he quit the league.

So I did this a while back for Forty and Dia a while back:



Dia, who as an exiled Sith Assassin has mostly dark/ghost themed ones. With a couple of steel types thrown in to represent Star Wars and its tech, Magnezone looks like a space ship or droid for example, and Metagross is similar being steel/psychic, representing both tech and the force. Sneasel's a glass cannon like Dia herself, fast and deadly, but can't take too many hits, Noivern and Chandelure just round it out with the the theme.

Oh, and shiny doublade: Red lightsabers.



Fortyseky, as I recall, was much easier to build a theme around. She summons demons in canon, so making her a ghost trainer was the obvious choice, with Houndoom represending her Felfire, and Marowak repping undeath with its bone theme--I think I meant for it to be Alolan Marowak, but the trainer card generator couldn't do that at the time.

I didn't do this for Delia (the journal I'm posting this with), but most of her team would revolve around some of the more annoying as shit mechanics: Confusion, Paralyze, and Attract, since that's what I do with her and her NPC party in Star Trek Online is sow as much chaos in the enemy mob ranks as much as possible with confusion effects.

Aal's dream team would be a Pikachu, Charizard, Bulbasaur, Alaczham, one of the fire horse types, and a fiery fox.

Dor's would be a lot of water types, like the seal-like ones etc and some birds.

Theme of the team. Pokemon people would be scared of based on appearance, but secretly not all that bad. Trubbish is the last Pokemon who didn't make the card cut, alas. She would have one though (cause there's literally little love for that him).

Everything I know about Pokemon can be summed up in the phrase 'I Googled it'. I have played Pokemon Go, but it's easy to not really pay attention to the lore there. So I don't really know that I'm equipped to come up with teams for my characters, except I would want Cricket to have a Deerling. And he would probably adopt anything cute and friendly that came along, anyway.

Furiosa would gravitate toward steel types, though. And Loki would have to have a Ditto, because shapeshifting.
