princess iphigenia. ([personal profile] bornstrong) wrote in [community profile] nc_ooc 2017-09-12 08:46 pm (UTC)

Name: Iphigenia
Nickname: ...OOC, I call her Iphi, but her family always called her by her full name.
Age: 20 going on nothing, because she's dead, wah wah wah.
Sex: female
Race: uh, ancient Greek? White? I guess?
Sexual Orientation: Bi but uh, she doesn't know it, hahaha this is fun. There's a lot of kinda...semi-homoerotic subtext that people (read: Tumblr) have read into Artemis and Iphigenia's relationship.
Socioeconomic level as a child: Royalty.
Socioeconomic level as an adult: (Dead) Royalty.
Birth date: I like to position her birthday sometime in November. I'm terrible at assigning dates, though.
Birth place: Mycenae.
Current residence: The Nexus, for ~all eternity~.
Occupation: ...Princess? There's another play by Euripides that kinda retcons her death (lol it's like fanfic ~before its time~) that has Iphigenia being a priestess to Artemis, so I'd love to kinda explore that in-game.
Title/Rank: Uh, sad dead princess? IDK.
Hobbies/Pastimes: Singing, dancing, reading history (why do you torture yourself, Iphi?), weaving, generally looking cute.
Talents/Skills/Powers: She's a human that's good at being brave when it matters, I guess.

Past History

Hometown: Mycenae.
First Memory: Playing hide and seek with servants, like, as a toddler. She was very good at it.
Most important childhood event that still affects him/her: When her father told her about all the (supposed) barbarians that are ~at the gate~ and going to destroy the Achaeans, aka the Greeks. This is literally headcanon I stole from a playwright who adapted her play a few years ago, lol.
Why/How? I think this really made her aware of a world outside of her happy little citadel, and tbh in headcanon, it's part of the reason why she chooses to willingly put her life on the line, so to speak.
Other memories/events that still affects him/her and why/how:
-- Her sister Electra being born
-- Her brother Orestes being born (maybe she just adores babies, okay?!)
-- Aulis and the sacrifice, etc etc (for obvious reasons)
Past failures s/he would be embarrassed to have people know about and why: I...dunno? Ugh, idk. Sometimes I think that now she's in the Nexus, she's embarrassed/ashamed about Aulis/choosing the sacrifice willingly.
Biggest role model: Her mommy :3
Why? Because Clytemnestra was a bad bitch, that's why. No, I think it's because her momma was very, well, for a lack of a better word, feminist before her time, and Iphigenia admires that.
Biggest challenge from childhood: Being the oldest and having more ~responsibility~, bawww.

Physical Characteristics

Height: 5'1".
Weight: She's thin.
Posture: Um, she's a princess. She has impeccable posture.
Build: Thin, like a dancer.
Skin: On the pale side, but she can tan.
Hair: Dark brown/black.
Eyes: Brown.
Describe their smile: Genuine and wide.
Tattoos/Scars? None. I mean, I could have written her with a scar around her throat, but sheesh, that's morbid. :o
Glasses/Contacts? Nah.
Left/Right handed? Right-handed.
Distinguishing features: Her big brown eyes! She always looks wide-eyed and curious.
Who does s/he take after; mother or father? Her father.
Style (Elegant, shabby, etc): Elegant as hellllllllll.
How does s/he dress or what do they typically wear? Skirts, dresses, cute Grecian-style tops. She would probably enjoy Modcloth, if she knew it existed.
Other outfits one might find in their wardrobe: Her saffron skirts from the day she died ;_;
Jewelry: HELL YEAH SHE HAS JEWELRY. Look, Iphigenia is blinged out. Heavy necklaces, shiny-ass earrings, jingly bracelets, etc etc.
Other accessories: Nope.
Weapons: None.
Health: Good? I guess? She's dead, so.
Hygiene: Good, for someone from literally the Bronze Age.
Physical Flaws: She probably has a few scars from running around as a tiny child.
Physical Qualities: I see her as very graceful.
